Co-financing program for photovoltaics My Current

My Electricity is a subsidy program for 5 zł for the purchase and installation of photovoltaic installations with a capacity 2-10 kW. It was launched at the turn of August and September 2019.

The program with a budget of one billion zlotys is one of the largest photovoltaic micro-installations financing programs in Europe for individuals who generate electricity for their own needs.

The program contributes to the fulfillment of Poland's international obligations in the field of renewable energy development, improvement of air quality, especially in poorly urbanized areas, and increasing energy security.

The second recruitment in the My Electricity program started on January 13, 2020.

From March 31, 2020, applications in the My Electricity program can only be submitted online. To submit an online application, it is enough to have a trusted profile set up, for example, thanks to electronic banking or e-proof.

The most important assumptions of the program:

  • PLN 5000 non-returnable subsidy for the installation
  • Only for individuals
  • The total budget of PLN 1 billion, which means some 200 families will benefit.
  • The maximum size of the installation is 10 kWp
  • Managing body - the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management

Co-financing program for photovoltaics Prosumer 2

It is also worth paying attention to the Prosument 2 program. As you can read on the website of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, it aims to: “Support distributed, renewable energy sources.

Under this program, you can apply for funding for the purchase and assembly of new installations and micro-installations of renewable energy sources for the production of electricity or heat for the needs of single-family or multi-family residential buildings. The budget of the program is PLN 800 million for the years 2014-2022 with the possibility of concluding loan agreements with a subsidy until 2020.

The most important assumptions of the program:

  • subsidy in the amount of 15% or 30% of the grant;
  • loan / credit interest rate: 1%;
    maximum loan / credit financing period: 15 years.

Program Clean Air

Another of the nationwide programs is the "Clean Air" program, which aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce the emission of dust and other pollutants into the atmosphere from existing single-family residential buildings or to avoid air pollutant emissions from newly built single-family residential buildings. In this case, applications should be submitted to the provincial fund for environmental protection and water management (WFOŚiGW), territorially competent for the location of the property covered by the application for co-financing, from 19 September 2018, from 8.00 am to 30 June 2027 to 24.00.

The most important assumptions of the program:

  • the costs of photovoltaic micro-installations and solar collectors can be co-financed in 100% only in the form of a loan under other eligible costs;
  • maximum loan / credit financing period: 15 years;
  • the interest rate on the loan / credit facility is not more than WIBOR 3M + 70 basis points and not less than 2% per annum.

For this program, the call for proposals is ongoing, all important information is available on the website nfosigw.gov.pl

Other Regional Programs

Individual voivodships also have their own programs that allow them to obtain subsidies or preferential loans for renewable energy sources.
